Activities


Some of the activities will be organized by MDS Project, but Team members can always choose to take advantages of some of the fun activities including the following:

On Chuuk

  1. SCUBA Dives
  2. Snorkeling
  3. Shark feed dives
  4. Boat tours of the lagoon
  5. Picnics
  6. Bus tours of the island
  7. Eco-tourism activities
  8. Birding

On Houk

  1. Fishing on traditional outrigger sailing canoes
  2. Cultural immersion activities, e.g. learning to carve canoes, basket weaving, spear fishing, octopus hunting, gathering taro from the taro patches, canoeing in the lake on Houk
  3. Interact with the people

The Team will also discuss other activities that may not be listed on this page.

Trip 2008 will include a 2-day dental clinic on the outer island of Houk in Micronesia. The team will take a 45-minute charter plane Houk.
