Travel Options Flying from the Continental USA to Hawaii or Guam won't be a problem since a number of major airlines service those routes. However, from Guam and Hawaii to the islands of Micronesia, Continental Micronesia becomes the only airlines. Team members will arrange their own flights following the suggested flight information or meet up in Chuuk. A few flight options... Houston - Guam Option: HOUSTON - GUAM - CHUUK: You may need to stay overnight in Houston to make the early 15-hour direct flight to Guam, 2 hrs connect time in Guam for Chuuk. Los Angeles - Honolulu Option: LOS ANGELES - HONOLULU - GUAM - CHUUK: Fly Continental from Los Angeles to Honolulu, 2 hrs connect time in Honolulu for a 7-hour flight to Guam, another 2 hrs connect time to Chuuk. Island Hop Option: - HONOLULU - KWAJELEIN - MAJURO - KOSRAE - POHNPEI - CHUUK: This special fare is called the "Island Hop," which is a little bit cheaper, but you have to make all those stops before reaching Chuuk.
Of course, you may opt to spend a few days of well-deserved R&R in beautiful Honolulu before heading home. |
