Small business for the outer islands.

Small business for the outer islands.

“When combined with information and communication technologies, microcredit can unleash new opportunities for the world’s poorest entrepreneurs and thereby revitalize the village economies they serve.” – Madeleine K. Albright and John Doerr

Our goal is always to seek the resources needed for the people in the outer islands to help themselves. We believe that it is the only sustainable and right approach to empowerment based on the intrinsic value of the individual to believe in their abilities.

microfinance

With practically no colateral for loans, outer islanders have no chance to qualify for traditional loans. Inspired by Mohamed Yusuf’s Grameen Bank, we hope to build build the capacity for microfinancing opportunities for people from the outer islands of Micronesia.

We hope to build people’s self-esteem by enabling them to have access to the global market. With so many outer islanders leaving the islands in search of job opportunities overseas in places like Hawaii, Guam, and the continental United States, we hope to build an online shop to enable people to send remittances to their relatives in the outer islands safely and on time.

technical assistance

We provide specialized support and training for schools, religious and non-governmental organizations in the outer islands. These services range from web design to grant writing, leadership training to social analysis workshops…all with the goal of empowering the people of the outer islands with the tools for success.
